Artist's Comments

Part II:

They let the machinery leak icky oils and liquids onto the ground... and guess what? I have well-water.
Destroying more and more, and sometime later this year, making us sick.
Yay for development. [/sarcasm]

Part I: Destoryer of Worlds [link]

...
The beautiful woods behind my house were recently leveled for logging.
Thus this being the destoryer of many worlds of creatures that are now homeless, and I am left without my thinking place.
...
God how I hate development of the land.

This doesn't seem like developement of the land though, more like... pregression. Taking away from it.

I like them both. The angel, composition, titles. The reflection is neat too. Both of them are to be :+fav:ed immediately.

Great work, the black and white really adds to it. I couldn't really see this as being a vibrant colorful piece, seeing as how it's about destruction and death of a land.

That's a good shot. I like the reflection...the machine is definately out of place, something's wrong...

....You know what? I bet you could file a lawsuit... I mean...erh..if you wanted to go that far. I dunno. ;) Just a thought. My grandma's all into that sort of stuff.

I really like this.. It's a very moving photo for those who have experienced much the same.. before i moved off to the land of concrete (AKA Los Angeles), i lived in a very beautiful and heavilly wooded area.. I loved it and i would always go out in the woods to concentrate and photograph all the animals out there.. but one morning i woke up with this horrendous sound of machinery, and i ran to the window, and there i beheld the destroyer of homes.. A giant tractor.. People were all about, cutting the trees down.. i wanted to go out there and yell at them.. but i knew i couldn't... I didn't own the land, thus i couldn't do anything about it.. Humans are really parasital in this way.. They destroy anything and everything that's in their way without thought of what they're doing to the land, to the animals that once lived there.. Humans have killed so much in the recent years.. Out of greed.. Not for survival, no.. But the willingness for sheer monumental expansion.. In the past hundred years alone, hundreds of animals have gone extinct, never to walk the earth again due to humans.. Is this the future of our world? Ah.. but sorry about the rant.. Once again, a very wonderful piece.. And it shall be favorited!
